Clinical Studies - For Physician Review
The following studies are for physician review only and are not intended for the general public. The three studies that pertain specifically to the Sunetics Clinical Unit are the two Clinical Client Surveys and the study on post op biobsy. Additionally, each author of the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy study has individually tested the Sunetics Clinic Laser in their own practice. Sunetics International Inc. only markets their Clinical Laser Unit as a Cosmetic device to help enhance the hair to appear fuller, thicker, shinier, and healthier looking.

Study on Laser Hair Therapy utilizing Sunetics Clinical Laser with assessment and post op biopsy and densitometry

Prior to LLLT therapy, significant inflammation was noticed around the follicles on biopsies that were performed.

After LLLT, decreased inflamation around follicle is observed. Density of hair increased.

Histologic photos courtesty of Dr. Yves Crassas (France). These photos were part of a study presented at the ISHRS Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, NV in 2007.

The current role of Laser/Light sources in the treatment of male and female pattern hair loss
Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, Jan 2007, pp 27-28
Authors: Dr. Marc R. Avram, Dr. Robert T. Leonard, Dr. Edwin S. Epstein, Dr. Joseph L. Williams, Dr. Alan J. Bauman

"There is a consensus among the authors of this paper that current laser/light devices are safe if used properly.

The majority also believe there has been a positive impact in the majority of their patients with male or female pattern hair loss as a stand alone or adjunct therapy. Most report a change in the texture and quality of hair in patients even if there is no re-growth."

Clinical Client Survey A
375 participants surveyed
The 2005 Clinical Client Survey was developed for Sunetics to measure the appearance of hair characteristics using the following hair enhancement items:

  1. Shampoo and/or wet line products

  2. Minoxidil (tm)

  3. Nutritional supplement

  4. Low Level Laser Therapy

Clinical Client Survey B
254 participants surveyed
Excerpt From Dr. Alan Bauman's Review

"Regarding the results, I was glad to hear that 76.84% of your clients perceived their hair to look better as a result of their participation in the Laser Hair Therapy.

I was also particularly impressed with the percentages of men and women who noted that their hair was appearing thicker, fuller, shinier and healthier than before they started with the Laser Hair Therapy program."
